HOME / WORK / COMMERCIAL / TRACEY MEMORIAL LIBRARY

Tracey Memorial Library

The project began with a careful evaluation of the library’s existing entrance, where falling snow and ice created ongoing safety concerns. A new design was developed to improve protection at the entry while remaining sensitive to the character of the building. The proposed solution was presented to the Library Board and community for approval, followed by construction documents, bidding, negotiations, and construction administration.

The project also addressed the library’s unusually high energy use. After reviewing the building’s original structure, later additions, and renovated exterior, a strategy was developed to better isolate these areas and improve overall performance. The resulting upgrades greatly reduced energy consumption while making the building more comfortable and efficient.
