Idyllwild
Designed for gathering and quiet retreat alike, this lakefront home balances generous entertaining spaces with intimate rooms for everyday living. Set on a sloping site, the design terraces gently away from the house using locally sourced fieldstone to retain grade and create a series of layered outdoor rooms. Native woodland buffers frame the property, reinforcing its New Hampshire setting.
Inside, the home is thoughtfully organized for year-round living. A first-floor primary suite anchors the main level alongside formal and informal gathering spaces, including a warm, alder-paneled library overlooking the lake. An elevator connects all floors for long-term accessibility. The lower level features a craft room, media space, cigar lounge, and a spa inspired by the owners’ travels, with direct lakeside access passing beneath the central fireplace—both a structural feat and a memorable design detail. Upstairs, guest suites, a bunkroom, and flexible play spaces ensure the home welcomes family in every season.
