Fernwood Landing
A substantial use of stone and brick gives the home a distinctive character, while vernacular lakefront architecture reinforces its strong historic roots.
The landscape seamlessly connects the home to its Lake Sunapee setting while addressing the challenges of building near sensitive shoreline resources. To achieve this balance, the entry court incorporates modern stormwater management techniques within a design that remains true to the home’s architectural character. In addition, a series of intimate outdoor spaces extend the home’s materials and design language into the landscape, creating a natural sense of continuity. Positioned to take advantage of the long southern views, these spaces offer inviting places to gather, relax, and enjoy the waterfront setting.
