Camp Coniston Lodge
Founded in 1911, YMCA Camp Coniston has welcomed generations of campers to the shores of Lake Coniston. Working closely with Camp Director John Tilley and the Camp Coniston team, the lodge was renovated to better serve the camp’s growing community while preserving the character of this historic gathering place.
The former kitchen and arts and crafts area was transformed into a large multipurpose room with two new bathrooms and an indoor-outdoor stage. The flexible space allows the entire camp to gather indoors on rainy days or gives individual divisions room to hold separate activities at the same time.
The project also included a new dance studio and renovations to the existing counselor dorm rooms on the second floor.
A special connection to Camp Coniston’s history: singer-songwriter Noah Kahan spent many summers here as a camper.
