Blue Loon bakery

Blue Loon Bakery brought new life to a beautiful historic structure in downtown New London. For this project, the team converted an 1840s home and barn into the beloved bakery. Over the years, the property served many purposes. It functioned as a residence, a tailor’s shop, a jeweler’s shop, and, most recently, an interior design studio.

As a result, the renovation required a thoughtful balance of preservation and modernization. Improvements ranged from structural upgrades for specialized bakery equipment to a sun-filled seating area. In addition, the team transformed an existing porch and designed inviting outdoor seating spaces. Restoring this prominent downtown landmark proved both challenging and rewarding.

Today, the bakery is a welcome addition to New London and the Sunapee Region. Not only do the aromas of fresh bread and pastries fill the downtown, but they also draw visitors inside. Meanwhile, the warm smiles and inviting atmosphere make guests feel at home. Blue Loon Bakery has become a cherished part of the community.
