Beres Energy Efficient Home Plans, East Machias, Maine

We would like to thank Pat and Andy Beres of Avon, Connecticut for contracting with us for the design and project management of their energy efficient home.
Andy and Pat have a true appreciation for their land, which they’ve owned and maintained for many years. The existing log cabin on the property will remain intact and the construction of their new lakefront home will take place nearby. “I want to feel outside when I’m inside, and I want the home to be rugged, strong, and functional like a Bluewater sailboat,” expressed Andy during our meeting.
As we begin to develop the preliminary design phase of the Beres’ energy efficient home plans, we will post progress sketches. Click on the Beres photo below for more photos and floor plans. Check back often over the next couple of months as we document this sustainable design!
